Establishment
Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Tirupati was established in 2024 under the Project Sector of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS). The Vidyalaya was established to provide quality, holistic and value-based education to children, with particular emphasis on meeting the educational needs of the families associated with IIT Tirupati and IISER Tirupati, while providing educational opportunities to all eligible children as per KVS admission guidelines.
The Vidyalaya is located within the IIT Tirupati campus at Yerpedu Mandal, Tirupati District, Andhra Pradesh. The Vidyalaya was formally opened by Prof. K. N. Satyanarayana, Director, IIT Tirupati, marking an important milestone in the development of educational facilities within the IIT Tirupati campus.
Foundation and Purpose
The genesis of Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Tirupati is rooted in the vision of providing quality education in a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating environment. The Vidyalaya follows the educational philosophy and academic framework of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, with emphasis on the holistic development of every learner.
With the growth of IIT Tirupati and IISER Tirupati and the increasing number of employees and their families associated with these institutions, the need for a well-organized educational institution became increasingly important. The establishment of the Vidyalaya fulfilled this requirement by providing a structured learning environment while promoting academic excellence, creativity, discipline, cultural awareness, ethical values and responsible citizenship.
Beginning and Growth
The Vidyalaya commenced its academic journey in 2024 with Classes I to V. Since its inception, the school has been progressing steadily in terms of student enrolment, academic programmes, infrastructure and learning facilities.
Over the course of its development, the Vidyalaya has expanded its academic structure and now caters to students from Balvatika-I to Class VII. This growth reflects the Vidyalaya’s commitment to providing continuous educational opportunities for children and creating a strong foundation for their future learning.
The school provides age-appropriate learning experiences designed to nurture the academic, physical, social, emotional, creative and cultural development of every learner.

Situated within the IIT Tirupati campus, Kendriya Vidyalaya IIT Tirupati benefits from a well-planned and conducive educational environment.
